Garrick Givens

Avant-garde director, writer, & sound artist from metro Detroit, MI. In high school a TV internship with the local district station, "TV 10", inspired the pursuit of a film, radio broadcast, career. Givens graduated with Honors in Cinema from Binghamton University in 2014 and, the previous year, was selected as the Distinguished Professor Emeritus Ken Jacobs Cinema Scholarship recipient. Influences in the arts include (but are not limited to) Vincent Grenier, Monteith McCollum, Stan Brakhage, Chris Marker, Jean-Luc Godard, William Blake, Charles Baudelaire, Jim Morrison, & Jack White. .
