Kamala Lane

Kamala Lane is a Los Angeles-based writer who draws from her own experiences to tell stories that make a universal connection. She prefers to craft stories around the souls who have been counted out, and must fight through all aspects of the human condition to be bigger than their circumstances. She was selected to participate in the 2015 Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Workshop. Before pursuing screenwriting, Kamala worked as a reporter in Washington, D.C., and she spent six years in the Army National Guard. In 2005, she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
