Born and raised in Brixton, south London to mother and costume designer Bibi Freeman. Robert began his interest in costume from a young age performing with the Notting Hill Carnival and on tour with themed stage shows. After some award winning performances as a body paint model in his early twenties Robert then moved on to Creature performance and with the aid of creature consultant and family friend William Todd Jones (who's credits include 'Batman Returns' (1992) and Labyrinth (1986)) began a foray into film performance.
The acting bug caught him and in the space of a year Robert completed two feature films for Universal pictures as a creature performer. His versatility as an actor and ability to convey the emotion within a monster was noticed by special effects guru Paul Hyett. Who took to him as a 'go-to-guy' for his creature suits.
Robert still resides in London, and has started auditioning for what he calls 'Face Roles'. Although he still does take an unnerving satisfaction in dismembering hapless victims as a 10 foot tall monster.
