Milen Petzelt-Sorace

Toronto native Milen Petzelt-Sorace is a composer, orchestrator and songwriter. He's received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Special Honours in Music from York University, where he was the concert master for the Media Music Concert Orchestra and received the Sorbara Award for outstanding creative achievement in composition. Milen started the Violin at the age of 12, and soon found his interest leaning towards the music used in video games, films, and television as the years went on. At 16, he began taking private composition lessons with University of Toronto alumni David Stone alongside his violin studies, and leadership role in his high school music program. Milen also has a strong passion for progressive rock music for it's unpredictability and genre-defying nature, which often subtly finds its way into his music to create a modern sound routed in classical traditions. In addition to Composition, Violin, and Piano, Milen is also a vocalist, lyricist and songwriter for the band "The Frame Defect".
