Charles was born and raised in San Jose, California. He is a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in Ancient Greek & Roman History and Creative Writing. In addition to writing, his passions and hobbies include cooking, chess, and die-hard fandom for his favorite Bay Area sports teams.
