Erdem Tepegoz

Erdem Tepegoz was born in 1982. Graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Economics. He studied film directing in Prag Film School. He traveled all around the world making many documentaries. Having worked in many feature films as the first director's assistant, young director has three award-winning short films. Zerre (The Particle), his first feature film that he had written and directed, won almost 20 awards including Golden St. George at the 35th Moscow International Film Festival and the movie was screened in 30 countries. The director received many praises from cinema critics on his social realist cinema and recognized as being one the most avantgarde young directors of his time. He lives in Istanbul and in Old Foca which is a small town on the Aegean coast of Turkey.
