Harpreet Sehmbi

Maya is a smart and driven young woman, who does what she wants, when she wants to. She'll fight for what she believes in, and has a soft spot for the people she cares for. Maya's views on mortality are largely driven from how she was raised-as an Indian. She provides an alternate and interesting perspective from how mainstream North American media depicts the afterlife, which she openly vocalizes. Born and raised in Toronto, Harpreet's been acting since she was 12 years old. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in International Development, Harpreet decided to focus more on strengthening her acting chops. She's been a part of theatre productions and independent films and has been trained by some of Toronto's renowned acting coaches. Currently, Harpreet is in Second City Toronto's Conservatory Program and preparing for her graduation show. These days, you can find her performing stand-up and improve shows around Toronto.
