Matvey Stavitsky

Matvey is an independent cinematographer, born and raised in Kaliningrad, Russia. Being a film buff all his life after graduating from Kaliningrad State University he decided to combine his love for cinema and photography and moved to Canada to study film. He graduated from Toronto Film School in 2012 and after working few years freelance he decided to move back to Moscow in 2016. Matvey's framing and cinematography style can be described as 'heavily influenced by European and Scandinavian cinema with a huge admiration to North American masters'.
