Daniel David Hanks aka "Blaze" is a Professional Stuntman, Dancer, Actor, Director, Producer, Film Production (Pre-Production, Production & Post Production) & Communications Specialist, Published Writer & Photographer and Social Justice & Human Rights Activist that spends his time bringing social justice to disadvantaged communities across the state of Washington. He has been relentless in his pursuit to right the wrongs that society, be they a result of social of governmental injustice, and often use to oppress minority groups. As a leader, Daniel David Hanks humanizes the word as he leads by example.
Starting off behind the camera, Daniel begun working in film production as a Casting and Production Assistant. He has worked on projects with Committee for Children, where they teach social-emotional skills to kids in 25,000 schools world wide and was a Production Coordinator and Actor on the National Emmy Award winning television show on financial literacy; Bizkid$.
At just 25-years-old, Daniel made a difference in the lives of LGBTQ Washingtonians even though he does not identify as a member of the gay community himself. He helped organize marriage equality marches and rallies and met regularly with top level SPD officials and neighborhood business chamber leaders, and used his platform as a young mixed-race American to inspire other youth to get involved in politics by showing them that state and local government does not equal any one skin color, religion or sexual orientation.
Daniel always looks for the best in people. He builds bridges, forges new partnerships, and really brings joy to people's lives regardless of how long or how short he is around them. He makes activism fun. The direct impact of Daniel's work was the passage of Referendum 74 at the ballot box, November 12, 2012. At that moment history was made and Daniel David Hanks not only witnessed history, he helped write it.
Simply put: Daniel is "all-in." He is not the type of leader that phones it in and sends the volunteers out to do his bidding; instead he does what any good leader does; he manages assets and leads people. Daniel doesn't lead or live with fear. He continues to march on with confidence of his conviction, justice and moral standing.
