Kathy Rooney

Kathy Rooney is a digital illustrator. Kathy's freelance business took off in 2001 when she was commissioned by the Pittsburgh Steelers to create a 62 ft. x 13 ft. digital mural depicting a panorama of Pittsburgh that is displayed on the front of the Pittsburgh Steelers Practice Facility. Since then she has created cityscape maps for Duquesne University, Point Park University and Empire City Casino in Yonkers, NY. Her recent assignment includes creating 11 historical illustrations for a feature documentary, Undaunted, The Forgotten Giants of the Allegheny Observatory, narrated by David Conrad and produced in association with the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. Kathy is a board member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.
