Sarah Petrusma

Sarah Petrusma is an Adelaide based photographer with a background in Film. Sarah has been interested in communicating through images from a very young age, beginning with visual art, then film, theatre and finally photography. She studied a Bachelor of Media Arts at the University of South Australia, with a focus on film, drama, visual arts and photography. During, and as a result of her studies she worked on numerous projects including podcasts, pop-art portrait commissions, theatre, an online film series and a feature film. However, when she studied black & white photography at UniSA, and processed her film in their dark-room for the first time, she realised that this was where her main passion lay. After her studies Sarah worked as a commercial studio photographer for an International Publishing Company for 5 years. It was an experience that saw her skills as a photographer grow through years of practice and mentoring from other industry professionals. In early 2012 Sarah started her Adelaide based photography company "Little Car Photography". Working for herself gave her the freedom to photograph a wider variety of work, and focus on her niche; candid portraiture using natural light. Sarah is an attentive photographer, backed up by years of experience and an artistic eye for detail.
