Marieta Petchanska graduated film studies and started her career in Madrid, Spain. Her first student film called "Amores Condicionales" (Conditional Loves) is selected at Valencia Short Film Festival at 2005. She has made documentaries and experimental videos in Spain, Cuba, Mexico and North America. She has worked for many years as a documentarist and vj for the Latin Grammy Awarded Rapper Mala Rodriguez. The visual art of Marieta Petchanska is accompanying the shows of the artist on the World Wide music scene.
She shoots music videos and plenty of creative interviews and short documentaries for Universal Music Spain and MTV. In Bulgaria she works with the crew of Sofia International Film Festival as a coordinator of Balkan Screenings at Sofia Meetings and Robert Bosch Program for young filmmakers. She also works with the team of Waterfront Film. The opening video of Sofia International Film Festival for 2010 was directed by Marieta Petchanska and nominated at the Festival of the Association of the Advertising Agencies held every year at Albena (FARA).
Marieta Petchanska has shot music video clips for a Bulgarian, Spainsh, Cuban and Dutch bands. She has also worked at some American productions at Nu Boyana Films (The Expendables 2, Lake Placed 3, The Frost Giant) in casting and AD departments. Her second short film "Faith" was selected for a special screening at the 19th International Film Festival "Love is folly" held in Varna, Bulgaria. Her newest innovative project "Conscious Cinema" has gained great popularity since its first public showcase in September 2013.
