Venise Stephenson

Venise Stephenson is a filmmaker from New York. Her first short film The Waves has screened at festivals in Seattle, North Carolina and New York. She has also completed several short experimental film pieces and interviews highlighting an unusual visual aesthetic. After studying photography with Roy DeCarava and Jules Allen, she pursued her creative ambitions while working as a professional educator. Her need for artistic expression and increasing cinematic ideas have opened a renewed foray into the world of independent filmmaking. With two well-developed feature projects to be produced she is poised to bring a new eye to cinema with complex narratives and a stylistic visual aesthetic. Writer/Director/Producer
