Jimena Antoniello

Jimena Antoniello was born in Montevideo. She's a film and television screenwriter, storyteller and poet. Settled in Madrid since 2003, she spends half of the year in Los Angeles. She studied Literature at the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación in Montevideo and at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, where she obtained her diploma in Advanced Studies in Ancient Christianity (PhD); she also studied Journalism, Communication and Marketing, and a screen-writing specialization at CES Audiovisual School of Madrid. Filmmaker by NYFA (New York Film Academy) in LA city. She worked for different companies in Communication and Marketing area. At present, she collaborates as an editor for film and photography magazines, and continues with her creative writing. Some of her work: "Entropy of the soul," Melon Editora, Argentina, 2012. "Tales of Creation in the Old Christianity: The role assigned to women" Research Progress FHCE Collection, Montevideo, May 2011. Included in the anthology "22 women" (Irrupciones Groupo Editor, Montevideo, 2012). Several of her narrative and poetry were published in literature magazines in her country and abroad as: Aldaba Magazine, Palabras Diversas Magazine, UNAM, El Derecho Digital, Ombligo Magazine, Palimpsesto, KUNDRA, Prótesis Magazine, Heptagrama, Panorama Cultural Magazine, El descensor, Alvaeno Magazine, Suplemento cultural El Derecho Digital, Letralia Magazine, Verbalina/A Contrapalabra Magazine, MiNatura Digital Magazine , Otro Cielo Magazine. In poetry her awards are: Felix Francisco Casanova contest (Spain, 1999) and in narrative: IV Certamen de Relatos Hiperbreves de la Editorial Acuman (Spain, 2003). In addition, she has written many reviews on movies, books and Photographers.
