Biography

Peter Rochon Nicholas is an independent filmmaker who has spent the last six years working in the television and film industries. Peter used his short film "Toy Soldiers" as a jumping off point to start his directing career. Produced in 2012, the short follows a lone marine taken POW in Afghanistan during the aftermath of 9/11. "Toy Soldiers" was well received by industry and audience alike, and inspired Peter to embark on a dual feature film/documentary project. "The Hunt" (produced in 2015) is a feature film that explores the desperation of human nature in a forest full of revelations. The documentary, "No Budget? No Problem", follows Peter in his journey to make his first feature film, unveiling the obstacles that a filmmaker faces, including the ever so prevalent issue of funding. In addition to his feature film/documentary project, he works at an ABC affiliate news station (KOAT Channel 7 News) and a communications rental company at Albuquerque Studios. Peter earned his degree in Film Studies at Santa Monica College in 2009.
