Joana Gusmão

Studied English Literature at Oporto University and holds an MA in Text and Performance Studies from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art / King's College London. Completed the Young Artists Program at Gulbenkian Foundation and took up the film directing course at the PCFE Film School (Czech Republic) and the documentary workshop at EICTV (Cuba). She has been working as a Film Producer since 2011, highlighting the work with filmmakers such as André Gil Mata (Captivity - Doclisboa, Award for best Portuguese feature film / Doc Alliance Award for best documentary) and Salomé Lamas (Theatrum, Orbis, Terrarum - Rome Film Festival). In 2013, she was selected to take part of Emerging Producers 2014 - Jihlava IDFF.
