François Morisset is a French short films producer.
His credits include "Bonobo" by Zoel Aeschbacher - which received gold at the 2019 Student Academy Awards (Oscar®), following a remarkable festivals career (180 selections, 30 prizes) - and the multi-awarded "Sacrilege" by Christophe M. Saber broadcast on Canal+ and acquired by Criterion. His latest production "Witness" directed by Academy member Ali Asgari, just premiered at BFI London 2020, and was selected at Tirana Film Festival, WoFF Glasgow, Vallaloid, Leeds and Rio Curta Cinema.
Morisset participated to the Fémis prestigious French-German workshop "Atelier Ludwisburg Paris", tailored around European co-production/distribution. Fascinated by the short format and entirely dedicated to the production of quality and significant films, he founded his own company Salaud Morisset in 2012. Living between Paris and Berlin, Morisset overpasses borders and build bridges between different networks and countries - his primary vocation being to discover and launch emerging worldwide filmmakers.
He is also a regular speaker in Cannes, TIFF, Palm Spring, SXSW and gives short films workshops at La Fémis. In addition, he is part of the T-Port Advisory board.
