Biography

Matt Macedo was born in the San Joaquin Valley. At the age of 12, Macedo wrote his first screenplay, titled "Envision". As he moved to Hanford, California in 2008, he strengthened his skills as a filmmaker, and as a result, created a short documentary titled, "Homeless in Hanford". Since he was 12, he has created a number of screenplays as well as short and feature films. Macedo has also taught himself everything he knows. He taught himself to be to be a screenwriter, as well as to edit, and also, film. His family are also known around their town as V.I.P volunteers, since they always volunteer to feed the local homeless. Around Macedo's 18th birthday, he was approached by a producer, who was interested in working with him. The producer, then told Macedo, "I want to see what you got. Make a feature film, in three weeks." Macedo did not waste any time. He wrote the script for his first feature film "Embrace" in a total of five days. He was also offered to film at the recognized "Greystone Manor" in Cambria California, for no cost. Macedo had a premiere party for "Embrace" and sold over $150 of DVD's on the first night ($5 a DVD).
