Biography

He received a BA in Economics from Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, one of the preeminent universities in Mexico, and a MBA in Media & Entertainment at New York University, where he was Vice President of the Media & Entertainment Association and founder of the annual NYU Stern ProMotion Pictures Film Competition. He returned to Mexico to work as Director of Development in Altavista Films, the film studio that produced hits like "Amores Perros", "Todo el Poder" and "Arráncame la Vida". He was responsible for supervising and coordinating every stage of the development process of all film projects as well as establishing co-productions and evaluating and securing financing. In May 2007 he was hired by Grupo Imagen Multimedia to be part of the initial team that launched Imagen TV -Mexico's third TV network. He started as Director of Acquisitions, where he initiated the network's first business dealings with international content distributors and assembled the first deals to provide the network with all the necessary content. In 2009 he was promoted to Head of Content and Programming, where he was responsible of development and production of all scripted shows, as well as programming and acquisitions of the network. In this position he was in charge of production of more than 1,500 hours of scripted programming, including hits such as "Las Aparicio", "El 8avo Mandamiento", "Infames" and "El Albergue". Through his professional career he has worked and developed close relationships with all the leading production companies and high-level talent (actors, directors, writers, etc.) in Mexico. In 2017 he ventured to write and produce his first feature film "Guadalupe Reyes", a buddy-love comedy.
