Red Gibson was born in March, 1991, and was given the name Rosemarie Gibson. Between the ages of 11 to 16, they had professional vocal lessons. From the age 0f 15- 17, they attended a drama club. It was this that gave Red the taste of performance. Having experiences within the performance field for years, Red has now stated that they're concentrating more on writing, but would be willing to act if a suitable role came up.
Red Gibson is a non-binary spoken word performer, writer, and actor. Having previously performed under the name Rosemarie Gibson, they have experience in both film acting and theatre performance. As of 2017, Red came out as non-binary, having stated that they felt conflicted within their body for years but due to the fact that transgender literature is more readily available now, came to the realization that they are non-binary.
Red published a sapphic collection of poetry (under the name Rosemarie Gibson) in 2017. They prefer the "they", "them", and "their" pronouns. They are currently working on their next book, due to be released in 2018.
As of May, 2018, they are currently running a monthly spoken word event in Stoke on Trent, with the aim of making the literature field more non-binary friendly. They are an open advocate for LGBTQ+ and Mental Health.
