Ehron Asher was born Ehron Fried in Van Nuys, California into a family lineage overflowing with talented, creative people. In addition to grandparents and great uncles, aunts, and cousins who counted among their numbers big band musicians, sculptors, painters and theater performers, Ehron's family tree includes the founder of Paramount Studios, Adolph Zukor, twice Oscar nominated, Emmy and WGA Award winning screenwriter Stewart Stern, (Rebel Without a Cause (1955), The Ugly American (1963), Sybil (1976)), legendary musical Director George Sidney (Anchors Aweigh (1945), Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Viva Las Vegas (1964)), comedy actor and Vaudeville performer George Sidney (Manhattan Melodrama (1934), The Cohens and Kellys in Hollywood (1932)), Broadway, Film and Television actress, 1952 Tony winner Sheila Bond (The Marrying Kind (1952)) , and Broadway and Television Dancer, Singer and Actress Francine Bond (member of The June Taylor Dancers on The Jackie Gleason Show (1952)).
Despite this pedigree, other than his great cousins Francine Bond and Stewart Stern, Ehron never had the opportunity to meet any of his Hollywood familial connections, nor did he benefit in any way from them professionally. This did not prevent Ehron from taking inspiration from their place in Hollywood's history or inheriting the family genes for talent and creative passion.
When a 3 year old Ehron performed an impromptu, spot-on imitation of Yul Brynner after his parents had taken him to a Broadway performance of The King and I, they immediately got Ehron his first acting agent. Identified early by the LAUSD GATE program as Gifted and Talented, Ehron started winning awards for acting and directing in theater and video production at 12 years old while attending the only film and television magnet school in the country at the time. Awards included the 1991 Actor's Alley Director's Award, 5 trophies for acting and directing at the Southern California Shakespeare and Drama Festivals, Most Outstanding Individual Achievement in Video Production and Excellence in Video Editing. This was the beginning of a journey of study, which included 6 years of theater, film, video, dance and fine arts at Pacoima Jr. High School Television, Theater and Fine Arts Magnet and Van Nuys High School Performing Arts Magnet schools, Film Production at the LACC Cinema/Television Program, Acting with Jeff Goldblum and Mark Pellegrino at Playhouse West, Shakespeare workshops with Roger Rees and Improv Comedy with ComedySportz.
In 1999, Ehron formed Serendipity Arts and Entertainment, and served as Creative Director, Producer and Graphic Artist, providing Live Event Production/Design and Promotion, Graphic Design, and Creative Project Development across the music, film, theater, art & design spectrum, including music festivals, concerts, nightclubs, conventions, art installations and feature films. Clients included: The Do Lab's Lightning in a Bottle Festival, Amnesty International, Quixote Studios' PA Bootcamp, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, NextAid, Fusicology, Circle Up Now, EAM Entertainment and Naropa University.
From 1999 through 2014, Ehron worked on the creative team of over 20 major live events, including as the Producer and Creative Director of a major music festival (We the People: Freedom Festival), that featured 6 stages, over 60 DJ's and Live Bands, an EDM film festival, interactive Electronic Music Technology Experience and 40 performance artists, including dance troupes, fire performers, stilt walkers, circus performers and drummers.
In 2007, Ehron was awarded a Black Rock Arts Foundation Honorarium Grant to create a large scale art installation at the Burning Man festival. For Burning Man 2014, he was invited onto the creative team of Poetic Kinetics, well known for their epic large scale art installations at the Coachella Music Festival (Escape Velocity Astronaut), to assist in designing a massive installation of fire and steel.
From 2004 to 2009, Ehron lived part time at Shambhala Mountain Center, a Buddhist meditation retreat center in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.
After returning to Los Angeles in 2009, Ehron has worked closely as an assistant and creative consultant to producer Marc Levey, Chairman of the Producer's Guild of America's New Media Council; Music Producer, Music Supervisor, Composer, and Screenwriter, Ralph Sall (Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), The Craft (1996), Hamlet 2 (2008)), and Producer Dawn Krantz (Man Down (2015)).
