Biography

Sitara Attaie is an Afghan born American actress who grew up in The Netherlands. She spent her early years learning several languages while living in Afghanistan, India, The Netherlands and now The United States. She is fluent in Dari, Farsi, Dutch, German, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto and conversational French. Sitara received her BFA in English Literature from The University of Groningen, Associates Degree in Teacher Training from Hanze Hoge School and her certificate in Journalism from Hoge School van Utrecht. Sitara is formally trained as an actor at Diana Castle's: The Imagined Life, The Lee Strasberg and The Actor's Workshop in Hollywood. She has worked on television shows such as: Homeland, Stumptown, True Blood and The X-Files. During her early years in Europe, Sitara won several Dutch National Dance championships (Kunstbende) and talent-shows as a Choreographer. She has choreographed several commercials, music videos and Bollywood movie songs. She also partook in different projects on Dutch television (VARA's 12X12, SBS6's Missen) and was a freelance Journalist for various media (Spunk.nl, Cultuur Scouts Magazine). Sitara has modeled for a variety of fashion brands after she won beauty pageants in The Netherlands and Turkey.
