The name Lookman originally was devised as a pen name for his published books. Lookman has a passion for innovative stories to please audiences. His family has a long tradition in the arts. George Bernard Shaw was his among grandparent's friends. Other relatives were members of the Painter's Company Guild, early photographers, one was Mary Shelly's patron and another was a literary Bishop of York.
Lookman is an award-winning screenwriter. Five of his books have been developed into screenplays.His book "Henri and the Alien" is an Alice in Wonderland comedy, while "Mihte's Quest: kids in the Underworld" is the first of a series about Celtic myth similar to Lord of the Rings and Thor. Both have animated children's television pilots called 'Who is Henrietta?' and 'Mihte Lugh: the Shining One' respectively. Another book "Children from the Sea" has been extensively developed and has become Nick Bain's script Sirena.
Lookman Ltd. was formed in 2009 as a production company and various SPV's since.
He has worked collaboratively with other screenwriters to create a new slate of in-house film projects. In the future, he wants to develop challenging films similar to the 'DaVinci Code,' historical dramas about court life and difficult areas like slavery and empire.
