Eula Parker

Eulallie Lucie Parker was born in St. Kilda Victoria, and began her professional singing career with her two older sisters Pat and Marie as the Parker Sisters. The Parker Sisters were Australian National Radio Stars during WW2 and Eula pursued a musical career when her two older sisters married. She continued on Australian radio but left Australia in December 1953 to advance her career in the UK. She joined the stargazers in September 1954 and performed with the Stargazers at the Royal Variety Performance in November of that year. She was never known as an actor but always a singer and songwriter. She went on to co-write songs with Pete Townshend (later of the WHO), Steve Allen and Barry Gray. She wrote the Andy Williams hit "The Village of St Bernadette" and won the Ivor Novello Award for that song. She made many radio and television appearances both in Australia and the UK.
