Biography

Tom Lisanti is an award-winning author/film historian of seven books about Sixties Hollywood. He began writing professionally in 1998 with his first published article on actress Carol Lynley in Filmfax, a magazine he had been reading since he was a teenager. Since then he has interviewed many celebrities from the Sixties including Pamela Tiffin, Shelley Fabares, Peter Brown, Diane McBain, Linda Harrison, Aron Kincaid, Celeste Yarnall, Francine York, Irene Tsu, William Wellman, Jr., Mimsy Farmer, and many more. His books include his latest Dueling Harlows: Race to the Silver Screen; his first Fantasy Femmes of Sixties Cinema; his biggest seller Drive-in Dream Girls: A Galaxy of B-Movie Starlets of the Sixties; and his favorite Hollywood Surf and Beach Movies: The First Wave, 1959-1969 (Classic Images' Top 10 Film Books 2005); and he co-wrote with former actress Gail Gerber her memoir Trippin' with Terry Southern: What I Think I Remember (IPPY Award Silver Medal for Best Memoir of 2010).
