Rocky Easley II

Rocky Easley II was born April 15th 1994. Born to two artist, his father an illustrator and mother, a creative writer, Rocky was raised with an artistic upbringing. His father started teaching him how to draw at three and his mother enriched him in the arts by opening his world to the classical arts. Due to him always being surrounded by various forms of art, Rocky began expressing himself through sketches as early as the age of four. It wasn't until Rocky's father introduced him to the spectacular world of comics that Rocky's true artistic vision developed and began to become fully expressed. Enthralled in the worlds of Batman, Spiderman, The X-Men, and many other superheroes, Rocky found himself at a young age fascinated with not only the art within the comics, but the stories being told. He was thrilled by the captivating stories and connected to the characters, having watched them struggle to obtain their goals. It was then that Rocky's art slowly developed from costume design, sketching and painting and into creative writing and storytelling. As the years passed, Rocky found himself writing one short story after the other starting at the age of eight. He was able to see the characters that he developed grow more and more as each page was completed. Having aged and entered high school, Rocky found his love for storytelling evolve from writing short stories and into writing short films. At the end of his Sophmore year, in order to complete all of the credits for his International Baccaloriate Certificate, Rocky was tasked with making his first short film. Basing his short on three characters that he'd been developing since nine, Rocky found himself creating more than just a short film, but a concept for a web-series; unaware of how much importance this one idea would hold later in his life. Earning his International Baccaloriate (I.B.) Certificate, Rocky started his Summer break with a great feeling of accomplishment. As the weeks passed, Rocky used this time to pursue acting; something which started to interest him. Eventually making his way to an acting class at his city's public access station, Rocky was fascinated with what all it took to be an actor. Though acting was one of Rocky's many interests, destiny had something else planned for him. On break from his acting class, Rocky ran into a local Producer at the city's public access station. Asking the producer an array of questions, the Producer was able to see Rocky's passion for storytelling and filmmaking and invited him to the class that they were having just the following day. Attending the class, Rocky learned that it was actually a course that would allow him to receive his certificate in Cable TV Production. Little time was wasted and before the Summer was over, Rocky had received his certificate in Cable TV Production at the age of sixteen, gained a new Mentor and developed the concept for his web-series into a fully developed story ready to be told on the small screen. As Summer came to an end, Rocky was exposed to many more opportunities, attending networking events, working on various productions, and gaining real world experience in the film and TV industry. Returning to his high school, Rocky found himself making friends with even more artists than before, all from various mediums. Creating an independent film club in his school, he and his fellow schoolmates would work on their own productions and showcase them in class. Meeting another mentor, Rocky grew close to his high school film teacher and she taught him even more. All while attending high school, Rocky was working on various television and film productions, attending filmmaking and business seminars, working on his own short films and developed his first TV series. Graduating from High School on the Dean's List, Rocky currently attends college, pursing his degree in film and television production, learning more from each instructor. Rocky is determined to attain his life's goal of working in the film and television industry as a Writer, Director and Producer, sharing his art with the world.
