Witold Lobejko

Biography

Vitold was born in Lublin, Poland. During a nine years period from 1995 he attended music school, where he was taught to play two instruments: the violin and the piano. When he left the school in 2004, he joined the local theatre group 'Panopticum'. After the first contact with an acting field, he felt an urge to follow that path and decided to apply to an university. Firstly, he studied Culture Animator and Manager with Theatre specialization at the Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. During the classes he had plenty of possibilities to develop my skills in acting and directing. In 2007, after performing in numerous plays - e.g. 'Inaczej' (2009) directed by Dorota Zaniuk and 'Listy do Olgi' (2010) directed by Dominika Piwowarczyk - he graduated with the Bechelor's degree with his own play 'Widmokrag' based on a novel by Wojeciech Kuczok. In 2010 he performed in an advertisement for the ElectricNights Festival and then, in 2011, he played a leading role in the short movie Stranger directed by Karol M. Kowalski, which was shown at a few independent movie festivals across Poland. In 2012 he moved to Cracow, where he enrolled for Drama in the Cracow Schools of Art and Fashion Design. Starting in November 2013, they have played 'Umarli ze Spoon River' based on Edgar Lee Masters' 'Spoon River Anthology' and directed by Jan Korwin Kochanowski. Next year he will finish the polish acting school and he is going to move to London to deepen his skills in the Meisner technique.
