Retief van der Liefde

Retief van der Liefde is a South African actor best known for his recurring role as Dr. Christiaan du Preez in the kykNET soapie Binnelanders, in 2015. He studied Drama at the University of Pretoria, where he received his Honours degree in New Media and Film Studies in 2011. He has appeared in a number of television series including the soapies 7de Laan and Generations, the epic period dramas Donkerland and Bloedbroers; and the musical drama series Sterlopers. In 2017 he had a starring role as eccentric lecturer Braam Leybrand in the kykNET comedy series Phil 101. He also co- presented entertainment show digiReis(2017).
