Sonya Van Sickle

Sonya was born in Henderson, Texas, the youngest of 3 children. Her father, Virgil, sold life insurance. Her mother, Mary, managed his home office while being a stay-at-home mom. Sonya's interest in performing began with an early exposure to music where she excelled in piano and voice. She has always enjoyed character voices and accents. As a voice actor, she has given life to several characters in interactive games. Before becoming an actor, Sonya was an award-winning TV news reporter. Among some of her most memorable celebrity interviews were two giants of early television: George Burns and Red Skelton. Sonya has a wide variety of on camera and voice over credits that include Cruel Summer (2021) American Crime (2015) and the 6-part series, The Eleven (2017.) She married voice actor Doc Morgan in 1996. She has one sister, Gwenda. Her brother is actor and writer, Paul Kirby.
