Karl Nerenberg is an award-winning television and radio producer, director and writer. As a broadcaster, Mr. Nerenberg produced and directed television series and documentaries in a wide range of genres and on a great variety of subjects - from civil war in Central America, to the crisis in South Africa's Apartheid system, to a series of portraits of colourful rural Canadian characters. His work won praise from colleagues and critics, and several national and international awards.

Best International Documentary Series (1985), from the the international organization of French language television networks), for a series of five television reports, "l'Afrique du Sud: quatre portraits", produced for CBC French network television ("Le Point").
Prix Mireille-Lanctot(1988),with reporter Michele Boisvert, for a report that tells the story of a day in the life of a residential centre for emotionally disturbed children, produced for the CBC French network television program, "Actuel".
Gemini Award (1990), Best Light Information Series, "On the Road Again," CBC English network television (Executive Producer).
