Russell John Clark was born and raised on the south east coast of England. After forging a career as an Art Director in the publishing industry Russell moved to the west coast of Canada where a love for scuba diving took hold, and changed the course of his life. Since then he has produced hundreds of videos for scuba diving brands, and worked with an array of interesting people from around the globe.
He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society for communicating Canada's underwater geography and natural history, and continues to serve their cause through several award winning documentary shorts, future projects, and partnerships.
For Russell, filmmaking is where everything in his past comes together; design, editorial, photography, a love for animals, filming, and sharing. Most of all he enjoys telling other people's stories. He is an experienced diver, videographer, writer, director and editor. Now based on Vancouver Island, Canada, he is enjoying being surrounded by nature and the endless potential it holds for storytelling.
