Qutaiba Barhamji

Director, producer and editor Qutaiba Barhamji was born in Damascus, Syria. His works have been shown around the world at festivals including Venice, Berlin, IDFA, Rotterdam, Paris, Nyon, and many others. Among them are Venice film festival multi-award-winning documentary film Still Recording (2018), directed by Ghiath Ayoub and Saeed Al Batal and the feature film representing Egypt at the Oscars Poisonous Roses (2018) directed by Ahmed Fawzi. His first feature length documentary film as a director Gevar's Land participated in more than 20 festivals including Cinéma du Réel, Doclisboa, Jihlava, IDFA 2020 and Odessa International Film Festival (Special Mention of the Jury).
