Ifigenia Dimitriou was born in Athens in 1980. She graduated from the Architectural School of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2005. In 2007 she got her Master's Degree from the Technical University of Catalunia (UPC) in Barcelona. She has been working in several Architectural Offices since 2006 and has been collaborating with the Ministry of Culture since 2007. In 2008 she and her partner Fotini Halvantzi founded the Architectural office "ifo studio" in Athens. In 2010 she participated in 3-month workshop in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in New York City. In 2012 she earned a Scholarship grant for 2 years of Film Studies at the Metropolitan College in Athens. Since 2011 she is a PhD candidate at the Architectural School of the National Technical University of Athens.
Awards: 2006/Students Photo Competition in the Technical University of Catalunia in the Category "Analogic B & W Photograph": First and Second Prize. 2009/International Festival of Architecture EME3 in Barcelona, participation with the video project named 'Vidas Colapsadas': First Prize. 2012/Athens International Film Festival/"Cinema" magazine competition, participation with the video "American Bean": Scholarship grant for 2 years of Film Studies at the Metropolitan College in Athens.
