Michaelangelo

Born and raised in the Entertainment Capital of the World, it was apparent at a young age that Michaelangelo had a passion for the arts. He spent most of his adolescence studying music and its history, and at age 15, continued his education by attending the Grammy award winning, Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts. As a student, he majored in voice and some of his most remarkable accomplishments were performing for First Lady Hillary Clinton in the White House, and singing for Pope John Paul II during Mass outside the Vatican in St. Peter's Square. His ambitions became a reality when he received a call to relocate to Los Angeles, to become a songwriter with Rondor Music International, a Universal Music Group Company. During the past five years, he has earned song credits in the United States, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Mexico, and throughout Europe. In 2009, Michaelangelo formed the band, Avenue 52, with fellow songwriter Sean Alexander. Their first single and best collaboration, "Simple Girl", was placed on ABC Family's, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager", Season 3 promo in 2010. The following year, Michaelangelo decided to venture solo. He also began working on his close friend and mentor, Johnny Gill's new album, "Still Winning". In 2011, Michaelangelo co-wrote and co-vocal produced many of the songs for Sony's new animated feature film, "Swan Princess IV: Swan Princess Christmas", due to be released November 6, 2012 exclusively in Wal-Mart. He is also the singing voice of the lead male character, Prince Derek. Presently, Michaelangelo is concentrating on his solo career. He has been in the studio developing his organic sound which fuses pop and hip-hop music. His debut single, "Better Than Beautiful" is available on iTunes and is now gaining traction at radio, so stay tuned!
