Karli Rabe

Biography

Karli's life was centered around left brained electronics and acoustics before a failed marriage woke him up to the love, joy, and healing of dance and performance. Initially some medicine was needed to counter the stress of la loco vita, but that changed when a stand-up comedy gig at Charlie Goodnights (Raleigh, NC) mushroomed. Next drawn to film, his first ever film audition turned into a subsequent major role in the 48 Hour Film Project short "Drop Dead Gorgeous". This led to some small acting stuff in West Virginia and the chance to work with Rory Owen Delaney (Man Bites Dog Films: Toxic Soup, Mountain Man) as "B" camera operator for the yet to be released work "Rough and Rowdy". Karli's third audition led to "Bystander". He has recently written a film treatment and is now starting on the script, is readying for more auditions, has been doing some videography and film editing, and working doing odd jobs to prevent being mistaken for a homeless person.
