Joy Young

Chilin Z. Young (original name: Ji Yang) is a cinematic artist who experiments with different aspects of filmmaking in narratives, performances, visual and sound styles to provoke and inspire the audience, through interactions with surrealism, geometry, technology, polarity, universality and purity, often in social and political contexts. Her artistic journey started with her BFA in Film and TV Production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and grew with her MFA in Film and TV Production at USC School of Cinematic arts. She was born in China and moved to Singapore when she received an academic scholarship from its Ministry of Education.
