Biography

Raman Khatri (born 3 January 1947) is well known Indian TV actor and been in the acting profession for a very long time. He made his acting debut in 'Shri Krishna' and from there he never looked back. He also played the role of Sahab/Kumar Ranjan in "Shaktiaman" and Mukesh Khanna acted as the main lead. He hails from a Punjabi businessman family, but he never wanted to join the business tradition of the family. So he came to Mumbai to pursue his dreams and after initial struggle life became normal for him. As we know the biggest problem of show business is type casting and Raman also got typecast as a Mythological serial actor. But he took all these things in his stride and kept delivering remarkable performances. The most notable roles played by him till this date is of 'Indrajeet' in Jai Hanuman directed by Sanjay Khan. He also played the role of 'Rishi Atharvan' in "Devon Ke Dev Mahadev". He has acted in a number of Bollywood movies some of them are Dhoom Dharaka (a movie known for Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik Comedy), Another Day, and Love Rays etc. In an interview he said he wants to do the serious kind of roles as it gives him a lot of satisfaction. He loves the acting of late Sanjeev Kumar and wants to be like him. We wish him all the best for his future projects. He is the father of Pooja Khatri and younger brother of Govind Khatri.
