Biography

Mellissa Thomas is a Jamaica-born freelance writer from Central Florida. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Film at Full Sail University in 2008, where she met producer/director/screenwriter James Hunter. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from the same school in 2010 and kept in close contact with Hunter, who hired her to co-write the independent feature "Juxed", which is inspired by true events, and indie short "Trial and Error", which eventually became "Breaking Point." Thomas has written and/or edited three more independent screenplays since, one of which is slated for preproduction in July 2013. She is also the self-published author of two books: 'From a Babe: A Weekly Devotional', and the first of a 5-ebook suspense series, 'Abstracted: Episode 1 of the Tenderfoot Series'.
