Lexi Yeado's first acting role was in the movie "Prodigal" produced by Lost Coin Productions. She played the best friend "Vanessa" in several scenes. Following that, she found another supporting actress role in Minnesotan filmmaker, Mong Vang's, "U-Turn" in which, she played "Judy." Prior to these acting roles, Yeado auditioned for High School Musical 3 in Salt Lake City Utah when she was 17 years old. Among hundreds of dancers, she made it to the final round of only 18 girls. In her individual audition, Kenny Ortega, Bonnie Story, and Charles Klapow told Yeado she was "a very strong dancer." Unfortunately, after the final group audition, Yeado was not selected for the part.
Lexi is best known for her contestant role on Laurieann Gibson's Born to Dance reality dance television show on BET. Choreographer and friend, Lacee Franks (Choreographer for Lady GaGa) contacted Yeado informing her about the upcoming show and urged her to audition, saying Yeado "would be perfect!" After competing to make it on the show's original Top 20 group of contestants, Lexi danced in a breakout video for singer, Jordy Towers, directed by Laurieann Gibson. The "Money, Money" video featured a small handful of other contestants who competed on Gibson's show as well as Gibson's go-to top talent. After her success in the Born to Dance experience, Yeado moved to Los Angeles to live with two of her show-mates. She landed representation by Daniel Hoff Agency for her acting/modeling and by Go To Talent Agency for her dancing. After running out of funds, she moved back home to Minnesota, then to Texas to finish her college education. She now serves as a high school English teacher and tennis coach in Texas.
