Alexandra Ozie Marie Bailey was born on September 12 in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, and was raised by her entrepreneurial father, Derek Bailey,in Philadelphia and Washington DC. She began acting at school, and by the age of 15 was performing at the Folger Theater, having educationally and professionally decided on a concentration in Shakespearean theater. At 18 she moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to attend The University of Edinburgh, but transfered to the University of London, where she studied English and Drama. At age 20, with business partner Jennifer Mcgregor, she founded her own theater company Tightlaced Productions,a site specific theater company. Alexandra has produced several acclaimed performances in the US and UK, including Romeo and Juliet,Richard III,and Miss Julie. At 23 she was cast in her first feature length film Tango Macbeth, directed by Nadine Patterson, playing the role of Lady Macbeth.
