Biography

C. Esi Arhin is a Multimedia Journalist trained on the job. She has worked with StarTimes Ghana, AdepaTv, a local content channel on the StarTimes PayTv Digital platform, MaxTv of the IMAX Media Group , Multimedia Group Ltd on the JoyNews channel on MultiTv and TV Africa as a producer, reporter and presenter. Esi is known for her work as host of JoyNews' then flagship news/current affairs programmes "Joint Caucus" and "PM Express" Also as the presenter of the popular morning news magazine show "Daybreak" on TV Africa. She is widely associated with Tv Africa's "Obaa Mbo", the 2009 CIMG award winning programme of the year on which she profiled women who have excelled in diverse areas of their fields of endeavour in Ghana and Africa. On the Zain TouchingLives" documentary series,winner of the 2010 CIMG award for programme of the year she interviewed hundreds of everyday Ghanaians and told their intriguing life stories as the field presenter.She continued as such for two more seasons, presenting the Airtel "Touching Lives" documentaries broadcasts on multiple television networks across Ghana. The Airtel Touchinglives documentarres series again won the 2014 winner of the prestigious Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Excellence Awards. A playwright, Esi has written numerous skits and Agit-props for radio which have been produced for radio on Adom FM's Geisha Obaatanpado,a family life programme 2007 and also for community performances during traditional festivals in her hometown of Gomoa Pinanko in the central region. Esi worked on numerous academic productions in various capacities and performed lead roles on stage plays by some very renowned playwrights such as Ama Ata Aidoo, Dr Mohammed Ben Abdulla, Asiedu Yirenkyi, Ola Rotimi. William Shakespeare and the like. One of her most noteable performance was a lead role in Eve Ensler"s widely acclaimed play The Vagina Monologues. Esi holds a Diploma in Theatre Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Degree with a major in development communication using theatre. She is a member and secretary to the association of Women in Film and Television ( WiFT ) Ghana. Esi is currently head of production for the Class Media Group (CMG) Ghana.
