Jason Pierre is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and writer. He was born to first-generation Jamaican immigrants and raised in the South Bronx. He obtained a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College. Shortly after, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in writing. He interned at production companies and large film studios like FOX 2000 in Creative Development. He finished his first short film David at Daytime in the summer of 2013. The short was the story of a doctor conversing with an ethereal form of the sun. The film premiered at the New Filmmakers New York 2014 Winter Screening Series at the Anthology Film Archives and showed at the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts 2014. He just completed his dark comedic short film, Existential Donut about a man experiencing a mental breakdown while going on an adventure with a donut.
