Hakim Zziwa

He is known as Director "Hakim.Z" has a passion for never-before-told, yet relatable human stories. His work transcends mediums and genres, such as music, dance, short films, documentary and experimental abstract films. Hakim also known as Hakim.Z, is an Independent filmmaker born and raised in Uganda and currently living in Boston, Massachusetts U.S.A. He has always been passionate about visually telling stories inspired by his strong stage performance background as a dance artist. It is the same inspiration that got him into dance visual storytelling and producing dance videos with a lot of action later on earning him an official selections at the Urban Film Festival 2018 in Paris and Motion State Arts Dance Festival 2021 Hakim.Z later expanded his creativity to the documentary style of filmmaking that has taken him to another level, working on various film project collaborations as a Director and Producer including the short documentary film "The Dark One" which has made it to a number of nominations in different film festivals around the world. A combination of shooting dance action and documentary style open up doors to directing music videos and other short films. Hakim.Z continues to explore different genres of film making especially documentary, short films, music videos and abstract experimental film projects.
