Biography

Siddhartha Nuni is an Indian cinematographer based out of Budapest, Hungary. He has worked on films and documentaries across various genres and themes for the past ten years. He enjoys working on projects which require powerful visual storytelling. He also loves exploring the world of digital film technology and visual effects. An engineer-turned-cinematographer, Siddhartha Nuni graduated in electrical engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He studied at the Mindscreen Film Institute run by the eminent Indian cinematographer, Rajiv Menon, to pursue his passion for filmmaking. Siddhartha finished the cinematography course at Mindscreen Film Institute in 2007. Siddhartha worked on some of the most path-breaking films to come out of India in the last few years as the director of photography. The crowdfunded, breakaway kannada film 'Lucia' being one of his most noticeable work. Siddhartha has collaborated on films with some of the top contemporary film makers in India, such as the national award winning director, Balaji Sakthivel. Siddhartha has worked in the on-set VFX crew of Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi'. Siddhartha was featured in the India Today magazine as one of 37 young Indians making a difference in their fields of work in 2013. His interviews have featured in Filmmaker magazine and Rediff.
