Amaris is no stranger to the stage, having fallen in love with acting at the tender age of 6. In 1990 she made her acting debut as Susie the Soda Pop Bottle in You Can Make a Difference. Since that time she has starred in several supporting roles such as Consuelo in West Side Story, Gloria in Wait Until Dark, Panzi in A Long Time Since Yesterday, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. In addition, she has performed in off-Broadway versions of Inherit the Wind, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Aida, and The Wiz. It was in 2001, that she originated the role of Annie Tate in the stage play The Sacrifice, and would continue to fill the role through various adaptations for the next five years. Her commanding performance earned her a President's Commendation for Achievement in the Arts. Eight years later, she was thrilled at the opportunity to resume the role of Annie Tate again for The Human Web and that more people can be exposed to the talented works of Benediction Productions.
