Shirin Saghaie

Shirin Saghaie was born in Tehran where she attended elementary school before moving to Germany. She graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne majoring in Film and attended the one-year Screenplay Workshop in Munich as a scholar. Her debut documentary film "Yume," which she created in collaboration with Annkatrin Hausmann, was nominated for Best German Documentary Film at the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival, and the Zurich Film Festival. Shirin is an MFA candidate in American University's Film and Media Arts program. She pursues to create films for inspiring others to follow their dreams.
