Adam Bogoch is an 19 year old writer/director living in Vancouver. This enterprising young filmmaker has just finished his second feature film, "Complexity", starring Leo Award winner, Emilie Ullerup, of "jPod" and "Sanctuary". Adam won three international film festival awards for his first feature, "Avoid Confrontation", at the Canada International and Fort Lauderdale International film festivals, which he attended.
Adam started out filmmaking as a hobby with the support of his father, David Bogoch. This hobby quickly turned into a life ambition at the age of 13, and by the age of 15, Adam begun writing his first feature film about a writer struggling with his father's death. "Avoid Confrontation" was shot in the winter of 2008.
Shortly after the screening of his first film, Adam began writing his second, attracting the attention of much higher profile filmmakers, including "Complexity's" producer, Mattie Shisko, and director of photography Paul Mitchnick of "Fetching Cody" and "The Pledge". "Complexity" was shot in July 2010, over an intense 20 day period. Two weeks after "Complexity" wrapped production; Adam was interviewed on JoyTV's "The Standard", hosted by Emmy winner, Peter Klein.
In post-production, Adam hired editor Brianne Nord-Stewart, best known for her incredibly successful short film "Trolls", and long time ally Ron Phillips, as composer. He has also developed a working relationship with publicist Lesley Diana and the Promotion People, who now represent both Adam and "Complexity". Adam has strong working relationships with his colleagues and feels very fortunate to be able to collaborate with them.
Though Adam has attended short courses and workshops at G.I.F.T.S. and Vancouver Film School, Adam's training comes from working on his projects, and on others, absorbing the wisdom and guidance from the seasoned cast and crew surrounding him. Adam is truly a flourishing young filmmaker and continues to shock and amaze his admirers at such a young age.
