Biography

Daniel Fellini was born and raised just outside of Boston, MA. Before college, he spent most of his time split between music and photography. As a student at Emerson College in Boston, he studied communications, and worked at both the campus newspaper -- as editor in chief -- and at the low-power AM radio station as a DJ. He also did a stint as "Crazy Dan Fellini" the weatherman, on WERS-FM, the college's award-winning FM station. Fellini spent the first part of his career as a writer, reporter and editor at several newspapers, before diving into the world of art direction. This didn't last long, as he found himself at a dot-com start-up working with public broadcasting stations throughout the country. In 2006 he left the Boston area for Portland, OR, and became producer -- then executive producer -- for a national non-profit organization, One Economy Corp. There he built a next-generation online video site called The Public Internet Channel, one of the first video-centric sites featuring web series. Then-Senator Barack Obama, and Senator John McCain, were honorary co-chairs of the project when it launched. Fellini writes, directs and produces web series for The Public Internet Channel, including the award-winning Real American Family.
