Damian Cooper

Born in Essex 1971 Damian left school at 16 years of age and followed his family into banking from 1989 to 1998. Tiring go city office life Damian left his banking career behind and head to college to become an Electrician. From there Damian went into electrical contracting to gain experience and develop his electrical knowledge and experience. in 2003 he began his filming career with Arri Lighting rental for a short spell before moving onto Lee Lighting where he was assigned to the Leavseden Studios to help with the maintenance of equipment in between film start and finish points, then continuing with Lees at their Stonebridge Park operation, where he stayed till 2007, gained his HGV Lorry License, learning everything there was to learn before going on the road as a Freelance Lighting Technician. That same year jumping onto Harry Potter as his first venture into "on set" film work, joining the rigging and practicals department. From there Damian mixed his time between filming and contracting work for the next few years including working in house at the BBC television centre and ITV London Studios before concentrating fully on his filming location work to the present day.
