David Harkin

Biography

David Harkin is a film director, who specializes in zero budget feature films. David has made several direct to DVD films to date. David is also a freelance editor and film and video tutor; he has a BA in Media Arts, a HND in Media, a National Vocational Qualification in Media, a City & Guilds in Media and a GCSE in Media studies. While studying for his HND at the North West Regional College in Derry, he received a film award for his short film Kaleidoscope. While studying for his BA at the University of Ulster, he was awarded the Greer Garson film award for his short film Politics. In 2012 his feature film 'Murderous' won best local film at the Yellow Fever Film Festival in Belfast. David Harkin has also made short films, films which have been screened in several film festivals around the world, including the Festival du Cinéma de Paris, Exploding Cinema Festival in London and The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
